Welcome to the South Wales BSL Club

Are you looking to improve or practice your British Sign Language (BSL) skills in a welcoming and inclusive environment? Whether you’re Deaf, hearing, hard of hearing or something in-between; if you’re passionate about learning BSL, our club is the perfect space for you!

Who are we?
The South Wales BSL Club is a friendly and open group for anyone interested in practicing British Sign Language. We meet once a month on Thursday evenings and welcome people of all skill levels — from beginners to fluent, native BSL users. It’s a great place to build your confidence, learn new signs, and connect with others who share your passion for BSL.

Why Join Us?
By attending our BSL sessions, you can:

  • Improve Your BSL Skills: Regular practice helps you build fluency, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the language.

  • Connect with Others: Meet Deaf and hearing people in your local community who are also learning or using BSL.
  • Learn in a Relaxed Environment: No pressure! Our sessions are laid-back and designed to help you practice without fear of mistakes.
  • Boost Your Cultural Awareness: Engaging with BSL is about more than just language. It’s a chance to understand and appreciate Deaf culture and communities.
